MINES & TUNNELS VENTILATION

The type ACDA’ Axial Flow Fans are designed for Ventilation Plants, where there is
a demand for high pressure increase, and at the same time, where the fan size should be kept to the minimum.

Accordingly, this fan finds major applications in the Ventilation of Mines and Tunnels. The type ‘ACDA’ Fan has two counter rotating axial fan wheels, each of which is direct-coupled to its own motor. The wheels and motors are mounted inside a cylindrical housing.

The housing is made of steel plate and has a flange of flat bar at both ends. It is provided with an inspection door. Between the fan wheels is a cylindrical central body of steel plate which is fixed to the housing by means of four round-bar stays.

The motors are supported by bearers of steel plate fixed inside the housing. The terminal boxes for the fan motors are placed outside the housing. The fan is fitted with lifting eyes.

It can be mounted for either horizontal or vertical air flow and placed directly in a duct or outlet. If mounted at outlet, the fan must be fitted with a guard.
